** Changed the message of the welcome menu.
** Added a new menu which shows all the credits/programmers instead of on the welcome menu.
** Removed night time.
** Removed the server check for software mode and a too high gl_modulate value.
** Disabled the green dots (allies) on the scanner skill.
** Fixed the <unknown class> errors with class runes.
** Added class rune names for the shaman and alien class
** Added a message when an invasion spawn gets destroyed.
** Enabled Weapon Master class.
** Removed ammo regen's level 5 hard cap.
** Ammo regen now also regens if you're holding your attack key.
** Added back haste for Shamans.
** Replaced Shaman's super speed class ability with totem mastery.
** Players now get free ID at level 0.
** Changed all talent max levels to 3.
** You now get a talent point every 2 levels at level 4 untill you reach level 20. You get 9 in total so you can max 3 talents in total without leftover points.
** Fixed world spawned ammo not showing up red on IR vision.
** Changed IR vision for players with level 6+ vamp. It is now a toggle; default is off. Toggle IR vision with the "irvision" command.
** Changed ability hard caps multiplier to 2x (from 1.5x). This means that level 20 class abilities and 10 general abilities are possible.
** Changed max level to 30 (from 25).
** Added gladiator for the monster summon skill.
** Added a short, yellow screen blend when you become the fury.
** Added a BFG explosion when a BFG ball expires. The damage is currently 100+15*(BFG damage level) and the radius is also 200+15*(BFG damage level).
** Removed respawns.
** Changed 20mm cannon's recoil to increase knockback instead of reducing knockback (1.5x more knockback now).
** You can now shoot underwater with 20mm cannon.
** Knight's leap attack talent's stun duration is 2x longer to non-clients.
** Reduced leap attack knockback to 200 (from 1000).
** Added a message on the hud to indicate if you have a totem active or not.
** Nature and darkness totem have unlimited range now (they are passive if they're summoned).
** Increased nature/darkness totem cost to 100 cubes.
** Changed darkness totem vampire multiplier to 0.020 (from 0.033).
** Changed yang's projectile into a heat seeking projectile.
** Tweaked yang's damage and refire rate. The damage is currently 8*(yang level) and the refire rate is 1.5 seconds on all levels.
** Earth and air totem will now add a soft screen blend to indicate you're benefiting from their effect.
** Merged the 6 totem talents into 3 totem talents: Obsidian (fire and water), Erosion (air and earth) and Twilight (nature and darkness).
** Added general talents: 'Bartering' which reduces the armory cost, 'Imp. Vitality' which gives you extra levelup health/armor, 'Ammo Pickups', which increases the value of ammo pickups and 'Superiority', which increases damage/resistance against monsters.
** Added a newb-friendly name change prompt for newbies that enter the game as "Player".
** Added a buff indicator for your HUD. Enable/disable with the command: "buffs". The buff indicator shows if you're cocooned, furied, blessed, healing or deflecting.
** Added 20mm as a default respawn weapon (like sword and blaster), but you spawn with no shells (unless you have super/shotgun as your respawn weapon).
** Reduced fire totem activation to 1 second (from 2 seconds).
** Replaced soldier's H/A Pickup talent with polt's Retaliation talent.
** Added a timer to the buff indicator that displays the ability's buff duration (countdown).
** Got rid of the 'was teleported away by' message when you t-ball when an enemy is near.
** Fixed the cocoon bug which granted immortality and invisibility.
** Earth totem stacks now, needs testing though (too strong maybe).
** Increased earth totem cost 50 cubes (from 25).
** You now respawn with 2x ammo on all levels (before you only spawned with 2x ammo when you were below level 5).
** Fixed an ancient bug (NOT) where your frag percent would be affected when you got killed by a world spawned monster, boss and suicides.
** Lowered the ability rune wear requirement from 1.5 to 0.75.
** Added a new general talent 'Greed' which increases the BASE drop rune rate of the players that you kill by 1+0.5% per talent level (up to 3%; around 1 rune per 33 frags).
** Added 3fers, 4fers, 5fers, 6fers, etc.
** Fixed spectators getting EXP after winning an invasion map.
** Added a sound effect and a small graphical effect when you (un)morph into a monster.
** Morphing talent now reduces the morphing cost at 32%/level (costs 2 cubes to morph when maxed).
** Poltergeist usually got a 5% damage buff/level after hitting level 10. It is now changed to a talent 'Imp. Metabolism' with a few tweaks. A level 30 poltergeist with the maxed talent will have a 67.5% damage boost.
** Fixed plague and cripple ignoring their capped damages when the target was cursed with lower resist.
** Spore talent (which increased the amount of spores you could spawn) won't reduce the damage anymore.
** Changed meditate talent to give cubes instead of dropping them. The power cube value is 50 on all levels and upgrading the talent reduces the time to meditate.
** Tweaked the laser platform talent. You can make an amount of platforms equal to your talent level (level 3 talent is 3 platforms). Increased their addon health to 1000.
** Fixed some abilities that could be spawned during pre-game.
** Completely revamped the sword code. Should work smoother now (like K2K7).
** Added a feature for sword to customize the color. The color you set will be saved so when you reconnect the set color won't change.
** Reduced the cube cost of the Imp. Cloak talent.
** Reduced fatal wound duration to 3 seconds (from 10 seconds).
** Tweaked healer; does 150% health/armor regeneration now (regens armor with the healer talent only).
** Removed the insane health/armor regen from the cocoon.
** Changed manashield to absorb 50% damage, reduced cube cost per absorbed damage.
** Added a new shaman talent 'Totemic Focus' which increases the totem health. A level 10 non-fire totem with maxed talent would have 675 health. A fire totem would have 2025 health (needs to get fixed).
** Fixed darkness totem not working with pellet-based weapons.
** Changed the fury chance calculation. It now checks for every 800 damage you deal and then checks your fury level (4%/level/800dmg).
** Added a new shaman talent 'Short Temper' which reduces the fury damage check (800 - talentlevel*150).
** Reduced frost nova cooldown to 2 seconds (from 4 seconds).
** Increased ice bolt speed and damage.
** Knights can now upgrade their sword up to level 20 (except for length).
** Added a new poltergeist talent 'Imp. Appendage' which increases the melee range of berserker/mutant/parasite/tank with 10%/level.
** Added a new weapon master talent 'Poison Rounds' which gives the attacker a chance poisoning an enemy while dealing damage. The poison can be healed by healing/purge/medics/etc and by picking up health. Leveling the talent increases the chance to poison someone and the damage (level 3 poison is equal to level 6 plague). You can't poison monsters.
** Added a new knight talent which increases the sword length by 25/50/75%.
** Fixed unique runes. All ability IDs are correctly placed and I've added the 4.3 abilities to the list.
** Fixed a bug with unique runes where 0 mods unique runes would auto-delete itself when you picked it up (not so handy for 0 mods uniques like Spring Shoes, 1-Up, etc).
** Fixed crash caused by forcewall solid + detector.
** Can no longer drop items while inside a wormhole.
** Using the teleport ability will cause plague to be removed if the user had plagued enemies beforehand.
** Forcewall health shows up on your hud now.
** Added a new weapon master talent 'Ammo Thief' which steals ammo from enemies while dealing damage. The amount of ammo stolen is based on your weapon, damage and talent level. If you're using a chaingun for instance it will have a smaller chance of stealing ammo. Leveling the talent increases the chance of stealing. Yellow sparks indicate that you've stolen some ammo.
** Removed the following talents: 'Overload', 'Tactics', 'Durability', 'Precision Tuning', '2nd chance' and 'Evil Curse'.
** Added a new engineer talent 'Fire Wall' which decreases all negative buffs/effects on their devices. These curses/effects are affected by the talent: ampdamage, lowerresist, curse, weaken, lifedrain, holyfreeze, plague and conversion. Maxed talent would decrease the duration/effect by 75%.
** Tweaked several talents to make them more usefull/better (duration/damage/effect wise).
** Fixed weapon knock so you only knock when target is below 50%, and added check where you only trigger the weapon knock if damage is > 0 (to avoid brain suck triggering it).
** Fixed EMP working on invalid types (like hellspawn).
** EMP will now blow up player ammo packs and regular ammo packs.
** Killing yourself during pre-game won't decrease your exp, doesn't leave a corpse and doesn't drop a player ammopack.
** Admins can summon bots (editted decoys) which will use the weapon the admin is wearing at that moment. Admins can now also summon tank commanders as a bodyguard (monster summon), not as a world spawned commander.
** Fixed deflect not absorbing hitscan damage.
** Fixed deflect redirecting projectiles to detectors instead of original owner.
** Tweaked handgrenade addon radius to 5.0 (from 2.5).
** Changed cocoon emerge duration to 5.0 seconds on all levels.
** Fixed the 'vrx*' commands (like vrxmenu, vrxrespawn) to close the current HUD display such as the scorelist, buff indicator and inventory.
** Added a class description when you create a new character and pick your class.
** Added newbie tips when you respawn as a character that's lower than level 2.
** Replace older RNG functions with mersenne twister RNG as an optimization.
** Your spree count won't add up when you kill someone that is 10 levels lower than you.
** Increased the activation check for fury to (fury level / 2) from 1 second. This is to prevent fury to activate everytime the fury duration is over.
** Fixed a few bugs that caused crashes on linux.
** Code overhaul to support linux vortex builds, dedicated servers may be hosted on linux now.
** Fixed a talent point given at level 2 (should be 4).
** Reduced the effectiveness of strength tech (from 2x to 1.5x).
** Fixed bug that added spaces to player names.
** Fixed superiority's resist effect not working.
** Added a new command 'vrxpass' which opens a prompt where you can enter your password (used for changing your password in-game for now).
** Changed BFG cell cost back to 50, was too spammy.
** Removed sword's pierce.
** Added back sword lance (different name and graphics, but same purpose).
** Fixed sprees not working with the new spree check.
** Fixed sword range not increasing by the lancing talent.
** Fixed retaliation doing 100% more damage when you're only missing 1 health.
** Increased lance talent range to 33% per talent level (from 25%).
** Changed plasma bolt graphics.
** Changed the upgrade menu for weapon master; it doesn't display the 'upgrade class specific abilities' options.
** Changed inventory menu to a general main menu.
** Fixed a medic crash bug.
** Added advanced bot support with A* path finding and more nice stuff, still in development, but they are functional.
** Added sword/20mm support for bots.
** Killing bots gives 50% exp of what a human player would've give.
** Bots deal 2x more damage against non-clients (to prevent an engi spreewarring to 100 with a level 15+ sentry in wasted).
** Changed life drain's update time to 0.1 second (from 1.0 second), but deals the same overall damage.
** Changed vampire's (ability) name to 'Life steal'.
** Changed superspeed's name to 'Sprint'.
** Added pre-made builds per class for bots.
** Bots can now use abilities (they must have it upgraded of course).
** Added chat support for bots, they will now say stuff when they die/kill. The chat is affected by the bot's anger level, if he dies alot his chat will probably be offensive against the killer, if the bot makes alot of kills he's calm, and says positive things such as 'nice shot!'.
** Nerfed detector, projectile lock on updates every second now (may change).
** Ammo regen only gives 20% ammo when you're holding your attack key.
** Every haste level reduces your damage by 2% (capped at max 25% reduction).
** Added graphical effect for corpse explode (it actually explodes now) and increases the minimum damage to 90% of the max damage.
** Corpse explode now fires 10 gibs in a 360 degree direction (like spikegrenade) upon detonation, each gib does 50% damage of the explosion damage.
** Magic bolt talent doesn't cost extra cubes anymore.
** You can now vote after 15 seconds have expired when a new map has started (from 30).
** Vote run duration has been changed to 60 seconds (from 90 seconds).
** Added a notifier when the first 15 seconds on a new map have expired so players know when they can start voting.
** Players bots can now be voted.
** Added a prompt to enter your password/username on the welcome menu.
** Added a prompt to change your character on the in-game general menu (known as vrxmenu).
** Added a prompt to simply change your password in-game using the general menu (vrxmenu). It also makes a .txt (condump) in case you forget your password. The .txt file is located in vortex/condumps and contains your password.
** Changed power shield to be a passive ability if you have cells in your inventory.
** Power shield now absorbs damage from any direction, not only the front.
** Reduced the amount of damage absorbed per cell for the power shield.
** Replaced the ammo stealer ability with a new (temporary) ability called 'Aftermath', which turns the ammo pack of a killed player into an explosive pack. It deals 1.5x corpse explode damage and has the 50% explosion radius of corpse explode. The packs last for 1.5 seconds and explode after that.
** Bots will now ragequit to a different character if they die too many times without making kills.
** Slightly increased domination kill exp.
** Added a random chance for players to morph into a player boss tank during a PVP match with more than 7 players playing. Everyone has to work together to kill the player boss tank.
** Fixed crash when a nature totem tried to heal a non-client's armor.
